The Mackintosh Centre
, at Brixworth Country Park in the heart of Northamptonshire, is named in memory of the late David Mackintosh who was an environmental and recreational planner, involved in the early development of this and other country parks in the county.

The centre offers self-catering accommodation and opportunities for countryside activities, for people of all ages, abilities and from all communities.

In addition to offering accommodation for community organisation the centre has become an ideal venue for team building workshops weekends.

It is owned and managed by Northamptonshire County Council but is self financing. In 1995 the Mackintosh Centre was awarded Millennium Commission funding for their Access for All project.

Over the past few years the centre has welcomed groups such as Mencap, Girl Guide groups, Warwickshire Association of Youth Clubs and businesses such as Barclays and Redland Roofing.
